Sadie Ewing, a guard from Verona, Wis., has signed with the Warriors, who also will welcome transfer Natalie Taylor from Southern Illinois.
Taylor, a 5-foot-10 forward, from DePere, Wis., is a former high school teammate of WSU guard Jenny Steffen, who transferred from Grand Valley State (Mich.) prior to last season.
“(Taylor) has potential to be an impact player in our league,” WSU coach Scott Ballard said in a release. “She’s a versatile and physical player. We are excited to have her as part of our basketball family for the next four years.”
Ewing, a 5-foot-7 guard, is the sister of Chelsey, a member of WSU’s softball team.
“Sadie will give us depth at the point guard position and has the ability to pressure the ball on defense and push the ball in transition on offense,” Ballard said. “She is a good athlete with toughness and a good work ethic.”
Ewing and Taylor will join early signees Amber Junker, Jordan Skiem and Michelle McDonald.
WSU finished 21-9 last season, setting a program record for wins in a season.
