1:30 p.m. — A resident of the 1200 block of West Third Street reported her Ford Escort had been broken into the night before. Several items were reported missing, including a BlackBerry cell phone with an estimated worth of $450, a pink and yellow wallet, and a pink drawstring gym bag. There were no signs of forced entry, according to police.
Friday
6 p.m. — A resident of the 600 block of East Fourth Street reported an attempted burglary of her home. A window on the east side of the building had been opened, and a screen cut and slightly pushed in. According to police, the owner credited her dog with likely stopping the intruder, who she said likely tried to enter the building between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
