Police Spokeswoman Anne-E Schwartz says in a statement that police are investigating the incident as a sudden death. The woman was pulled from the river about 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
Schwartz says police need help in identifying the woman.
The woman is described as white or Hispanic, with a heavy build and between the ages of 25 and 35. She has shoulder length black hair, a tattoo on her forearm and surgical marks on her abdomen.
She was wearing a blue T-shirt with “soccer” on the front, blue jeans, black gym shoes and wire rim glasses.
