Man found dead along bike trail in Racine County

ROCHESTER, Wis. — The Racine County sheriff’s department is investigating the death of a man whose body was found along a bike trail.

Sheriff’s Lt. Bob Zortman says fisherman along the Fox River found the body of white, middle-aged man and notified the department around 8 p.m. Friday. He says there were no obvious signs of trauma but the man apparently had been there for a while because decomposition had begun.
Zortman says the body was found about 50 feet off the paved Racine County Seven Waters bicycle trail.

The woodlands are located about a half-mile south of the Village of Rochester and a mile north of the Burlington city limits.
