WAPS board seeks community members for committees

Winona Area Public Schools has openings for community members on district-wide committees for the 2008-09 school year.

There is one opening on the District-wide Staff Development Committee, which plans professional development opportunities for all employees. It meets from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on the second Monday of the month during the school year. Applications are due by May 30.

There are two openings on the District-wide Curriculum Advisory Committee, which reviews and works with the curriculum offerings for students at all grade levels. It meets from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. the third Monday of the month during the school year. Applications are due by May 16.

Applications are available on the district Web site at www.winona.k12.mn.us. On the site, go to district wide, administrative departments, curriculum and staff developments and click on forms. Applications also are available by mail by calling the curriculum office at (507) 494-0865.
