Friday
11:10 a.m. — Police issued a citation to Edward Maurice Price, 41, of Jackson, Miss., for trespassing at the Valley View Towers apartments at 165 E. Fourth St. Price was banned from the premises in April.
3:11 p.m. — A man reported several items stolen from a common storage area at 902 E. Second St. sometime in December 2007. The man was in the process of moving items and noticed a redwood coffee table, a desert scene wall tapestry, a five-piece sectional couch and two car ramps, all worth about $3,440, missing on Dec. 26. Police are still investigating.
Saturday
12:15 a.m. — David Andrew Wilwert, 20, of Winona was stopped in the 550 block of West Broadway Street carrying an open can of beer, and police cited him for underage drinking.
2:58 a.m. — Trevor Timothy Leyendecker, 20, of Rochester was cited for underage drinking in the 500 block of West Sanborn Street. Police observed the vehicle he was in circling the block several times and questioned its occupants because of the suspicious activity. A preliminary breath test found Leyendecker’s blood-alcohol concentration to be 0.188 percent.
11:36 a.m. — Police cited a 12-year-old Winona boy for theft by shoplifting after he was caught stealing four packs of bubblegum all worth $5.50 from Kwik Trip at 872 W. Broadway St.
Sunday
1:56 a.m. — Police stopped a car in the area of Market and Wabasha streets after it made an unsafe U-turn and almost hit a parked car on West Third Street. A passenger in the car, Christopher Stanley Gozdal, 20, of Stockton, was cited for underage drinking and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle. Police are still investigating the case to see if charges are necessary for the driver.
8:49 p.m. — A man reported his gray 1988 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with Minnesota license plates PAW-103 stolen from the 150 block of East Fifth Street sometime between noon and 4 p.m. Friday. He said he didn’t report the crime until Sunday because he thought maybe his father had the vehicle, but he did not. The keys were in the vehicle at the time of the theft.

Thursday
1 p.m. — Deputies arrested Bradley John Wohlers, 47, of Altura after he allegedly called his ex-wife even though he is not to have any contact with her. Wohlers was charged Monday with felony violation of a harassment restraining order.
Friday
7:41 p.m. — Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Greenbriar Drive in Winona on a report of an assault. David Blaise Halbakken, 36, of Winona reportedly went into the home and started fighting with his ex-wife’s boyfriend. There were no injuries. Police were unable to locate Halbakken and mailed him a citation for misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct.
Saturday
1:20 a.m. — Theodore James Fitzgerald, 19, of Utica, was stopped on County Road 26 just east of Elba for going 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputies detected alcohol on his breath and arrested him on suspicion of drunken driving. A breath test at the jail found his blood-alcohol concentration to be 0.09 percent. Police also found a glass marijuana pipe in his shoe. Fitzgerald was cited for misdemeanor drunken driving and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
2:40 a.m. — Lorenzo Valdes Choncoa, 28, of Lewiston was pulled over on County Road 33 for driving over the centerline and not having a rear license plate light. The deputy detected alcohol on his breath and Choncoa was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.10 percent. He was charged Monday with gross misdemeanor drunken driving and driving after revocation.
11:47 p.m. — Deputies stopped Nick William Roberts, 27, of St. Charles on Highway 74 after observing him drive around the parking lot of the Whitewater State Park without his headlights on. The officer detected alcohol on Roberts’ breath and cited him for misdemeanor drunken driving. Roberts’ blood-alcohol concentration was 0.14 percent.
