Writers conference on tap this week
.
The Hiawatha Valley Education District will host its annual “Young Writers Conference” on Thursday and Friday at Winona State University. More than 1,000 students in grades 3 through 8 from 23 surrounding public, charter and parochial school districts in Southeast Minnesota and Wisconsin will participate. Each student will have the opportunity to meet and work with three of the following presenters: Al Batt, Charlene Baumbich, John Bernadot, Phil Costigan, Danielle Daniel, Emilio DeGrazia, Darrell Ehrlick, Ron Gamer, Dianne Gray, Warren Hanson, Gary Harbo, Mary McGrath, Gay Mortenson, Forrest Musselman, Scott Novotny, Tom Overlie, Mary Jo Pauly, Rick Ponzio, Bruce Ramsdell, Dean Young and Maggie Modjeski.
