The Winona Middle School students of the week are Cory Speltz and Katrina Dworschak.

Speltz’ teachers say he is a hardworking, conscientious student with a positive attitude and a desire to do well in class. He is enthusiastic about learning and is always willing to help others. Cory plays football and basketball for WMS and summer baseball for Goodview Sandlot. Outside of school, he likes to play sports outside, watch TV and go fishing. Cory is the son of Nick Speltz and Wendy Mueller, and has one brother, Logan, and one sister, Marrissa.

Dworschak’s teachers say she works hard on all her school work, is helpful and supportive to classmates and is an active class participator. She has an outgoing personality and a positive attitude. Katrina is actively involved with the Gotta Dance dance studio. She also likes to go shopping, chat on the computer and hang out with friends. Katrina is the daughter of Monica Dworschak and has twin brothers, Xavier and Nick.
