Seniors Megan Rasmussen and Joe Braatz are the Winona Senior High School co-Winhawks of the Week.

Rasmussen, daughter of Trevor and Dawn Rasmussen of Stockton, Minn., describes herself as friendly, hard-working, funny, nice, trustworthy and sincere, and she lists biology as her favorite subject. She enjoys hiking and four-wheeling, and says her role models are her parents, Grandma Dorothy and Grandma Louise. Teachers describe her as hard-working, responsible, polite, helpful and sweet. She is a dedicated student who works well with others. After graduation, Rasmussen plans to attend the Winona Technical College. Her advice to upcoming students is: “If things are overwhelming, break them down into steps.”

Braatz is the son of Don and Paula Braatz of Winona, and describes himself as hard-working, laid back and outgoing. He says his role model is his dad. He enjoys bowling and golf, and lists math as his favorite subject. Teachers describe him as mature, friendly, polite, hard-working and dependable. He is a positive person who takes a serious approach to life.
After graduation, Braatz plans to attend Winona State University. His advice to upcoming students is: “Meet as many different people as you can. Don’t just hang out with your group of friends.”
