Mari and Steven Bern of Newport, Minn., a son, Henry James, born April 29, 2008, at Abbot Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis. Maternal grandparents are Karen and Bud Nystrom of Winona. Paternal grandparents are Nancy and Carl Bern of Ames, Iowa.

Nicole and Richard Cooksey of Ettrick, Wis., a daughter, born May 5, 2008, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, Wis.

Matt and Sarah Evanson of Indianapolis, a daughter, born May 7, 2008. Paternal grandparents are Sandy and Don Evanson of Minnesota City, Minn. Paternal great-grandparents are Agnes Evanson of Winona and the late Elmer Evanson.

Jaimie Nett and Kris Howe of Menomonie, Wis., a son, Carter Thomas, born April 27, 2008 at Eau Claire Memorial Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis. Maternal grandparents are John and Kris Nett of Winona. Paternal grandparents are Steve and Diane Howe of Menomonie.
