Sheriff’s Department Captain David Konrath says Beau Wastel (WAH’-stuhl) of Denmark was a passenger in one of several cars that stopped after the Tuesday accident involving 46-year-old Cynthia Blohowiak of Denmark. Konrath says Wastel grabbed a rock and ran to the car, which was taking on water. The captain says the boy punched the window several times before it broke, then pulled the screaming woman from the car. Konrath says Wastel was treated for injuries to his hand.
