I am writing to express my surprise and chagrin regarding Rep. Gene Pelowski’s vote against the proposed clean cars legislation. Pelowski certainly must know that the clean cars bill is intended to require auto makers to produce more fuel efficient cars and trucks.
Why would he not support this legislation which has already been enacted by 13 other states? We expect more leadership than this, and I, for one, am disappointed.
