1:05 a.m. — Police were notified of a black truck driving erratically down Highway 43 into Winona. Officers observed the truck driving on the wrong side of the road near Fourth and Winona streets and stopped it at Third and Olmstead streets.
The driver, Lawrence John Walk, 47, of Winona failed field sobriety tests at the scene. He later took a breath test and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.28.
Falk was charged with second-degree drunken driving. He will appear in court today.
1:36 a.m. — Police stopped a vehicle with a headlight out near Second and Market streets. The officer said the driver, Brittany Lea Zeller, 21, of Winona, appeared intoxicated. She later took a breath test and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.13 percent
While at the scene, the officer also observed damage to Zeller’s car, though she denied having hit another vehicle. Another officer then located parts of Zeller’s car near another damaged vehicle at 266 E. Fourth St.
Zeller was charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident and for fourth-degree drunken driving. Her court date is May 19.
