2nd body found in Wisconsin River ID’d as fisherman

MOSINEE, Wis. — The Marathon County medical examiner says the body found in the Wisconsin River over the weekend near Mosinee is of a missing 17-year-old boy who went fishing.

Medical Examiner John Larson says Dylan J. Decaire of Dorchester was found by family members searching the river on Sunday and his death will be listed as drowning.

Larson does not plan an autopsy.

Lenard J. Pond of Owen also drowned in the April 6 boating accident after their vessel capsized. The 40-year-old’s body was found on Friday.

A third fisherman, 16-year-old Brier J. Bergerson, survived after he was rescued by other fisherman. Witnesses said Pond and Decaire never resurfaced.
