SMU BASEBALL: Cardinals finish off Gusties

ST. PETER, Minn. — The St. Mary’s University baseball team failed to score a run Thursday but left with the win.

Andy Pass allowed two runs — none earned — over 31/3 innings and picked up the win in the Cardinals’ 7-3 victory over Gustavus Adolphus in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

Kyle Ryan went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, and Brady Knudsen went 3-for-3 with two RBIs to lead SMU in a game that began April 21 but was suspended until Thursday because of rain.

Chris Bogie had two hits and two runs, and David Krieger went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI for the Cardinals, who held a 7-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning when play resumed.
