Wednesday
11 a.m. — Police arrested Terry Carlton Ross, 30, of Goodview, in the 800 block of 54th Avenue in Goodview on suspicion of criminal sexual conduct. He was held in Winona County Jail on a fugitive
warrant from Illinois and was referred to the county attorney’s office for charges of third-
and fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct and solicitation of a 13-year-old to engage in sexual conduct.
Thursday
12:13 p.m. — One man was taken to the hospital after a two-car accident at the intersection of Service Drive and Orrin Street. Eric James Decker, 20, of Utica, Minn., said he didn’t see a stop sign when he pulled into the intersection and struck a vehicle driven by Tanya Lynn Ehlenfeldt, 21, of Lewiston, Minn. Neither were injured, but a passenger in Ehlenfeldt’s vehicle, Scott Arthur Koch, 36, was taken to Community Memorial Hospital by ambulance with neck and shoulder pain. Police cited Decker for failing to stop.
7:53 p.m. — A 48-year-old Winona woman reported a burglary at her apartment in the 250 block of East Fourth Street. She said she left the apartment at about 2:30 p.m. and returned at 7:50 p.m. to find a 60-inch Pioneer LCD TV worth $6,500, a Sony VCR/DVD player worth $100 and $720 cash missing. The apartment was left unlocked, and police have no suspects.
Friday
Police issued a citation to Alanson Dale Bingold, 18, of Minnesota City for damage to property. Bingold caused $32.98 in damage to Heritage Apartments on West Wabasha Street by spray painting a wall.
12:17 a.m. — Store security caught Ryan Peter Mechlewitz, 19, of Houston, Minn., stealing a radar detector, several watches, a shirt and other items all worth $272.85 from Wal-Mart. Police cited Merchlewitz for theft by shoplifting.
