WSU relay teams in record books after Drake Relays

Des Moines, Iowa — The Winona State University women’s track team wrapped up the Drake Relays in honorable fashion.

WSU had two relays competing in Friday’s meet, and both finished in the record books.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Kelly Milkent, Nicci Johnson, Lisa Meyer and Jennifer Bradford finished in 3:55.71, which was .15 seconds from a school record.

The 4x100 team of Samantha Lisowski, Lindsey Derby, Nikki Olson and Jessica Devine finished in 48.67 seconds, which is the third-fastest time in school history.

“This is, as far as I know, the fastest we’ve run before getting to the conference meet,” WSU coach Mason Rebarchek said. “These were definitely good times for this time of year.

“It was pretty exciting at such a big venue. The Drake Relays are a special event with schools from all over the country.”
