Published - Friday, April 25, 2008 Your view: Colonel’s view on health care slanted Our local Iraq war tactical expert, Col. Stan Gudmundson, (retired Air Force) usually reminds us of his military service when writing his letters regarding the questioning of the “war effort.” However, in his latest letter regarding universal health care, for example “government care,” he neglected to indicate that since he is a military veteran, he has been a part of government health care for most of his adult life. And now, even if he would choose not to use it, the veterans health care program is always available to him, regardless of any shortcomings it may have.
