2011 is too long to wait for improvements

.
Kudos to Mr. Galewski for writing about the dangerous condition of U.S. Highway 14-61 from Minnesota City to Homer.

Jim makes excellent points about the highway’s horrendous condition and the state’s out-of-touch funding formula.
Unfortunately, he failed to provide all drivers with the phone number for Christine Hernandez at the MnDOT office in Rochester.

In Jim’s editorial, Christine states the priority list for road improvements changes as the need changes.

I encourage all citizens and motorists who use this highway to call and make this stretch of highway a priority for improvements.

Christine can be reached at (507) 286-7601 or go to the MnDOT Web site at www.dot.state.mn.us/d6.html and call any one of the project engineers.

2011 is too long to wait.
