Police calls for Monday, April 21, 2008

Winona FRIDAY 2:25 a.m. — Police received a report of suspicious activity in the area of Sanborn and Laird streets. The caller reported seeing four college-age people walking along the street with a large glass lawn ornament. When officers arrived, two of them said the green globe was a “party trophy” that travels from party to party. Because they didn’t know who the globe actually belonged to, officers confiscated it.
