For Wednesday, April 16, 2008 Winona Friday 5:18 p.m. — A woman reported her car was broken into in the 550 block of Cottonwood Drive. The rear window of her Honda Accord was smashed and a purse was stolen. The woman said the purse contained a checkbook, credit cards, $25 cash and possibly a diamond ring. No value was given on the ring, and police are continuing to investigate.
