Former Rep. Greg Davids of Preston, Steve Bissen of La Crescent and Al Hein of Mabel all have announced their desire to face Tschumper in the November general election.
Harriet Lawston, Fillmore County Republican Party Chairwoman, said 100-plus delegates will vote at Saturday’s endorsing convention.
The event is slated for 9 a.m. at Rushford-Peterson High School, and is open to the public.
Lawston said she expects “a close vote.”
“You can never tell what the delegates will decide,” Lawston said.
Tschumper barely beat Davids in 2006 to claim the 31B seat.
