College faculty union OKs contract
Minnesota State College Faculty, the union which represents about 4,400 staff members at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities’ 25 two-year community and technical colleges, including Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical, voted Wednesday to approve a labor contract with MnSCU.The two-year contract includes step and schedule increases that total $4,000 for returning full-time faculty not at the top of their salary schedule.
Full-time faculty at the top of their salary range will receive a $4,000 one-time lump sum in fiscal year 2008 and a one-time lump sum of $1,250 in fiscal year 2009.
The contract, which has been approved by MnSCU, must be ratified by the state legislature and signed by Gov. Pawlenty.
