City auction today features dump truck, used police cars

If you’ve ever had difficulty finding an old dump truck, search no more. The city of Winona has one up for auction this afternoon.

It’s a 1988 Ford one-ton with a V-8 and manual five-speed transmission. Low miles!

Also for sale are three used Ford Crown Victoria police cruisers and nine other vehicles. There’s a Dodge Caravan (with no keys), an old Chevy Suburban that’s “rusty and runs well” and a Saturn that won’t start. Don’t worry, prices are negotiable (with your neighbors and the auctioneer).

Included on the auction list are 94 bicycles, a metal shelving unit, a box fan and a deer lawn ornament.

So, if you’re looking for seized property or another person’s garbage, stop by the Central Garage Bike Barn at 1104 W. Third St. at 4 p.m. to scope out your prize. Bidding begins at 4:30 p.m.
