I am extremely grateful for the dedication and support from the many volunteers and my campaign team.
During the campaign, I said I would stand for the people of our district and those rural values that we hold so dear. You have my commitment that I will strive each day to live up to this standard. I pledge to you that I will listen to your concerns, take those concerns to St. Paul, work hard and get things done on your behalf!
As I campaigned throughout our beautiful rural district, I heard again and again from people that they would like to see state government work for us, rather than against us; live within its means instead of clamoring for more; and to foster opportunity over a prescribed outcome.
President Ronald Reagan once said, “Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it.” I respect these words from one of our nation’s great leaders and will always remember this principle when making decisions.
One thing that you can always expect from me is that I will remain committed to the people of House District 28B. It is you that I am and will be accountable to, not the special interests in St. Paul.
Thanks to the awesome example of leadership provided by my friend and predecessor, Steve Sviggum, we have strong precedent in our district that rejects the campaign influences of special interests in favor of the interests of the people of our district. I have continued that tradition, with my accountability focused upon you.
Drazkowski is the representative-elect from Minnesota House District 28B.
