Drazkowski needs to discuss taxes

.
So we have a candidate — Steve Drazkowski — in 28B who promises to cut “wasteful spending” and taxes, the oldest most overused political promises around. Of course, we all want that.

You need to ask him to name the most “wasteful spending” programs that he wants to cut. Is it education, roads, child protection? One person’s wasteful spending is another person’s lifeline.
Cut taxes? There are income, sales and real property taxes that are paid by people at all levels of income. Which and whose does he want to cut?

Is he proposing another Republican tax cut, where the average person might save $10 while the wealthy save $10,000 or more? Does he want to really reduce the tax burden or just do another shift from state to local governments so he can look good?

We would know much more about those claimed “rural values” if he spelled out the answers to those questions.
