He touts the “sanctity of marriage” and rural family values. Is being divorced and dragging his family problems through the court system at the taxpayers expense part of those values? Those aren’t the rural family values I grew up with in Wabasha County.
He would pass a law making English the official state language (another waste of taxpayer money). Of course, not being a native Minnesotan, he probably doesn’t realize we speak Minnesotan here. Perhaps he should take some lessons.
He claims to be a “strong Christian.” Are you a weak Christian if you are not a born-again, George W. Bush (“God told me to invade Iraq”) Christian? For those evangelicals who have adopted the Republican Party as their own, I would suggest they re-read their bibles, Matthew 7:15.
The radical view he espouses on immigration shows his lack of understanding of the complexity of the problem. Having lived a good portion of my life in Mexico, I resent these extremist psuedo-solutions. Before he spews out his racists, anti-Mexican feelings, I suggest he visit some of the dairies in the district to see who is doing the milking. Perhaps he might learn a little Spanish along with Minnesotan.
Linda Pfeilsticker’s
roots run deep in this area, and she clearly represents our rural values. On Aug. 7, vote for one of our own.
