You make my point very well -- college sports are commercialized and run just like big business and that's EXACTLY what is wrong with sports today, whether college or professional. It's all about MONEY! If this is what you want, you can keep it. Since Midewest Wireless/Alltel is giving so much money to WSU for naming rights(aka advertising), then I refuse to send WSU any more alumni contributions. And byt the way, the reason it was named for Guy Maxwell was to remember the man and his accomplishments -- thus it would be good if those accomplishments were periodically revisited -- but the WDN doesn't have that much imagination. " First of all, the article was not geared toward the history of the stadium and Guy Max-well. It was about a name change, so why are we so upset? Secondly, WSU's "commercialization" of the athletic program has made it one of the most prolific in NCAA Division II. Without naming rights, corporate partenrships and things like that, Winona State would be marred in obscurity like UM-Morris or Crookston. Come on people, before we go and attack WSU and the WDN, lets get our facts straight. "
