Two drivers ticketed in crash on Highway 61

.
No one was injured, but two drivers were cited Wednesday after a semi-trailer truck ran a red light and collided with a GMC Jimmy.

Just after 7 a.m., a 1987 Peterbilt semi driven by Christopher Francis Socha, 41, of Wausau, Wis., was traveling north on Highway 61 when it went through a red light at Gilmore Avenue, according to a Winona police report. A rear wheel clipped the right front end of the SUV driven by Tracy Lynn Hazelton. The semi continued north on Highway 61 and was stopped in Wabasha County. The driver was ticketed for running a red light.
Hazelton, 36, of Trempealeau, Wis., was cited for driving with a revoked license.

" He should of been ticketed for leaving the scene. He could say he didn't feel anything but just like the other person, said you can. At least no one was injured. "

Was truck driver also ticketed for leaving the scene? wrote on Mar 16, 2007 9:35 AM:

" The truck driver had to know he'd had contact with the other vehicle. You can feel it from the cab, I know because someone once ran a red light and grazed my trailer tandems lightly, nearly avoiding me completely. Even though it wasn't a hard hit, I felt it, but didn't see it because I wasn't looking in the mirror at that moment (he hit me on the right side, about fifty feet behind my cab). If the truck driver was onlticketed for running the light, he'll get to keep his CDL, lucky for him... "
