BUFFALO CITY, Wis. On Thursday, June 15, 2006, Ron Ervin Erdmann, 67, of Buffalo City, left this vale of tears to be with his Father in Heaven after a long fight with cancer.
Ron was born March 28, 1939, in Winona, a son of Mildred (Ronnenberg) and the late Ervin Erdmann. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1957, where he was a three-sport athlete who still remains in the record books.
On Jan. 27, 1958, Ron married the love of his life, Rita Erpelding, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. For 40-some years, he worked in agribusiness for Lewiston Feed and Produce, Benson Farm Service, Plainview Milk Products, Nutrena Feeds, GTA Feeds, Alma Farmers Union and Garden Valley Co-op. After his retirement from feed sales, he took a job working with handicapped adults at Great River Homes in Wabasha. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Cochrane, where he served on the church council.
He spent many years playing and coaching baseball and fast-pitch softball. His whole life he loved to play and watch sports, especially the Vikings and Twins. In recent years, he enjoyed taking care of the yard and gardening with his wife. He became a master of the game of golf. Ron instilled in his family the desire to work hard and play hard. He was a man of faith who believed in drawing strength from God to overcome life’s obstacles. His wit and wisdom touched many. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Surviving Ron are his wife of 48 years, Rita; seven children, Robin (Lee) Randall, Renee (Tim) Reinboldt, Jill Haag, Jodi (Steve) Schell, Bernie (Lisa) Erdmann, Ronny (Catherine) Erdmann and Paul Erdmann; 21 grandchildren, Ryan, Liza, Lana, Roby, Isiah, Joseph, Rebecca, T. Michael, Jacob, Melissa, Melinda, Michelle, Jackie, Rhonda, Amber, Ashley, Eddie, T.J., Morgan, Ana and Ridge; five great-grandchildren, Mika, Connor, Keira, Raeana and Chase; his mother, Mildred; brothers, Wayne Erdmann and Dale (Lyndel) Erdmann; and a sister Cheryl (Jerry) Larson; along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ronald Erdmann will be Monday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lewiston. Burial will follow at Lewiston Public Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday,
June 18, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Cochrane, and Monday one hour prior to services at St. John Lutheran Church, Lewiston.

Roger H. Busdicker, 88, of 318 Grand Street, Winona, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at Lake Winona Manor, Winona.
Roger is a lifelong resident of the Winona area. He was born in Winona on Aug. 26, 1917, the son of Harry J. and Edna (Rogers) Busdicker.
Roger is a graduate of Lewiston, Minn., High School in 1934 and Winona State Teachers College in 1938. He taught in high schools in Clarissa, Minn., (1938-1939), and Mabel, Minn., (1939-1943) as a band director, then as band director at Winona State College from 1945 to 1946.
He served during World War II as a navigation instructor and bomber navigator in the Army Air Corps, attaining the rank of first lieutenant.
Roger married Martha Ann Fakler on Dec. 27, 1938, in Winona. She preceded him in death on Dec. 13, 1995. In 1947, he co-founded Hal Leonard Publishing Corp. and served as its president and vice chairman until retirement in 1986. He was also the co-owner of Edstrom Management Corp., Edstrom Telephone and Sound, and Edstrom Realty.
He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Winona; Winona Masonic Lodge 18, A.F.& A.M.; Rochester Scottish Rite Bodies; Osman Temple of Shrine and the Winona Shrine Club; and Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 141 of Winona. He is past president of the Winona Country Club; charter member and past president of the Winona Exchange Club; and past president of the Winona State College Alumni Association.
Because of his interest in genealogy, along with his brother, they donated ancestral property in Homer, Minn., to the Homer Activity Group for the establishment of the Gardner/Rogers Community Park.
Roger is lovingly survived by his daughters, Susan (Don) Enger of New Richmond, Wis., Judy (Dr. Mark) Wedul of Woodbury, Minn., and Joni (Jon) Welda of La Crescent, Minn.; six grandchildren, Lisa Enger, Leah, Leif and Andrea Wedul, and Brice and Corey Jackson.; a brother, Gordon Busdicker of Minneapolis; and a sister-in-law, Renee Busdicker of Columbia, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Russell G. Busdicker; and sister-in-law, Ruth Lucas.
A memorial service to celebrate Roger’s life will be held at 11 a.m., today, June 16, at Central United Methodist Church, Winona, with the Rev. David McBride officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona, where members of American Legion Post 9 of Winona will conduct military burial rites.
Friends may call at the church today from 10 to 11 a.m. Visitation was held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, 1476 W. Broadway, Winona, where there was a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Services entrusted to Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Winona.

Doris Naomi (Pankow) Burmeister died June 14, 2006.
Doris was born June 25, 1930, in Mauston, Wis., to the Rev. Herman A. Pankow and Frieda C. (Henning) Pankow. She graduated from high school in Menomonie, Wis., and continued her education at Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn., where she prepared to be an elementary teacher in Lutheran parochial schools. She graduated with a teaching degree in 1951 and served her Lord as an elementary teacher and later a substitute teacher in Lutheran schools in Winona and Rhinelander, Wis. She began teaching piano and organ at her alma mater in 1954 and continued in that capacity until her marriage to Richard Burmeister in 1959. The Lord blessed their marriage with five sons, and while rearing them, and in addition to her homemaking duties, she served as church organist for many years, as a church choir director, gave private piano and organ lessons, and was active in the church ladies organizations.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Albert and Erdman Pankow.
She was a resident of Goodview almost all of her married life until she became a resident of local long-term health care facilities.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; five sons, Paul (Stacy) Burmeister of West Bend, Wis., Andrew Burmeister of Kallangur, Australia, Joel (Lori) Burmeister of Phoenix, Nathan (Jean) Burmeister of Winona and Aaron Burmeister of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nine grandchildren; sister-in-law, Beverly Nuessmeier of Hudson, Wis.; and niece, Cynthia Schliewe of Vesta, Minn.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 19, 2006, at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fountain City, with the Rev. Elroy V. Conradt officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Martin-Myhre Funeral Home, where there will be a closing devotional service at 8 p.m. Visitation also will be held Monday at the church after 10 a.m.

EAU CLAIRE/MONDOVI, Wis. Sandra Marie “Sandy” Bloom, 49, of
Eau Claire, formerly of Mondovi, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, after a short struggle with cancer at Luther Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and devoted fiance.
Sandy was born Sept.16, 1956, in Winona, a daughter of Lyle and Margie (Helwig) Bloom. She was a graduate of Gilmanton High School and then attended Chip-pewa Valley Technical
College. Sandy was well loved as a receptionist at Associated Bank in Eau Claire. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.
Sandy will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and her lovely smile, which always seemed to lighten a room. She had a deep love for her family and treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Her memory will live on in the hearts of many.
Sandra will be sadly and deeply missed by her fiance, Roger Levers of Eau Claire; her loving parents, Lyle and Margie Bloom of Mondovi; three sisters, Sue (Dale) Winsand of of Elk Mound, Lois (Ron) Porath of Eau Claire and Diane (Greg) Weber of Gilmanton; three brothers, Curtis (Lois) Bloom of Eleva, Larry Bloom and Steve (Dawn) Bloom, both of Mondovi; maternal grandmother, Clara Helwig; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and also by Roger’s parents, Carl and Merlene Levers.
Her maternal grandfather and paternal grandfather and grandmother preceded Sandy in death.
Funeral services for Sandra will be held today, June 16, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Mondovi, sister church to Peace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, with Pastor Paul Woebbeking officiating. Eleanore E. Weber, formerly of 733 E. Lake Blvd., Winona, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Lake Winona Manor.
Eleanore was born Oct. 24, 1919, in Winona to Robert W. and Lena (Malenke) Schueler. She married Roy P. Weber on Aug. 24, 1944, at Long Beach, Calif.
She worked for NECO Ordnance and Boland Manufacturing. She was a member of St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, on Dec. 2, 2004; by her parents; two brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by three brothers, Eugene (Marilyn) Schueler of Mountain Home, Ark., Vernon (Arlene) Schueler of Winona and Jerry Schueler of Winona; four sisters, Joyce (Gerald) Woodard of Dakota, Judy Miller of Winona, Ann (John) Ramsey of Tucson and Alice (Allen) Lechelt of Winona; nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, at 1:30 p.m. at Martin-Myhre Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Vernon Kettner officiating. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday after 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Justin, Jeff, Jay and Skyler Woodard, and Mike and Greg Schueler.
Clark C. Sessions
STRUM, Wis. Clark C. Sessions, 72, of Strum and formerly of Eleva, Wis., died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis.
He was born June 3, 1934, in Eau Claire.
He married Mary Rumphol; they had one daughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Birch Street Baptist Church, Eau Claire.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home, Eleva, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Burial will be in Hadleyville Cemetery, rural Eau Claire.

WABASHA, Minn. Charlotte Mae Franks, 88, of Wabasha died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at St. Elizabeth’s Health Care Center.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes’ Chapel in Rochester, Minn., and one hour before the 11 a.m. Monday service, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
